Impact Gameworks draws from the beautiful art and sound of classic games, while seeking to elevate and innovate gameplay to modern standards. We believe in not just recreating elements of games we played growing up, but building on them.
We strive to create games that favor deep, tactical gameplay, creative thinking, and interesting decision-making. At the same time, we want our titles to be enjoyable by all gamers of all ages, from casual to hardcore.
Andrew is the lead programmer, designer, and audio wizard behind Impact Gameworks. His passion for games began with the Super Nintendo and extended through his career as a video game composer writing for titles like Soulcalibur V, Monkey Island 2 SE, and ReCore. He works with a group of talented pixel artists to bring his vision for new titles to life.
Impact Gameworks was founded in 2016 by Andrew Aversa to fulfill a lifelong dream of creating games. Our first title, a turn-based dungeon crawler called Tangledeep, launched on Steam in 2018 and Nintendo Switch in 2019.
